Everything I Wish My Dad Had Taught Me About Money
My dad isn’t to blame for my years of careless overspending but I wish I had been more attentive to the times when he encouraged me to save. Now, nearing 40, I’m working most weekends to make ends meet and pay off long-held debts. Were I to be granted a Father’s Day wish, it would be that my three children avoid this fate by teaching them early on about basic personal finance, using credit wisely, and savings.
